Sung Siew Secondary School emerged champion during the Sandakan Divisional Level. Presenting Sandakan for the State Level held in Keningau and carried away with consolation prize.

- The Drama team, under the English Literary Society in Sung Siew Secondary School was established since 2003. Drama provides students with the chance to express themselves, improve communication skills, build confidence and develop skills and knowledge of Drama and the theatre from a range of cultures. Our target audience are parents, teachers and ofcourse the young people. Through these drama productions, the team believes in the commitment to work, share and learn as one team. Members are exposed to drama arts and techniques - scripted work, mime techniques, stage fighting, trust exercises, characterisation, improvisation, vocal qualities, sound effects, monologues, light effects, make ups, costumes and props designing. By this, they develop team spirit awareness and leaderships. Annually, the drama team represents their school in the District competition level which the past few years had represented their school to State and National levels.
